Exciton Learning offers online educational courses, tutoring, and consulting services focused on electronics, embedded systems, and engineering education. Course materials may include third-party hardware (e.g., microcontrollers) and require self-guided use.

2. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and current information during registration

  • Use the website and services for lawful purposes only

  • Not share login credentials or course materials without permission

  • Acquire any required materials (e.g., Arduino Starter Kit, multimeter) if specified in the course description

3. Safety Notice for Working with Electronics

Exciton Learning courses involve hands-on electronics activities designed for safe, low-voltage use (typically 5V DC or less). While no soldering or high-voltage components are required, students must still follow safe practices to ensure a responsible and productive learning environment.

General Safety Guidelines

  • Read and follow all instructions carefully before beginning each activity.

  • Students under age 14 should have a parent or guardian nearby during hands-on work.

  • Use a clean, dry, and well-lit surface for building and testing circuits.

  • Keep all electronic components away from water and conductive surfaces (like metal tables or sinks).

Electrical Safety

  • Only use batteries and power sources provided or specified in the course materials.

  • Never power a circuit until it has been reviewed and verified to match the instructions.

  • Always disconnect power before making any changes to a circuit.

  • Avoid touching exposed wires or terminals while power is on.

Handling Components Safely

  • Do not force components into breadboards. If they don’t fit easily, stop and ask for help.

  • If you trim component leads (e.g., resistors), you must wear safety glasses, use basic wire cutters and take care to collect and dispose of cut pieces properly.

  • Use tools responsibly. No sharp tools beyond basic snips or wire cutters are required. Store tools safely when not in use.

  • Avoid excessive bending or pulling on wires, as this can damage the circuit or components.

Environment & Emergency Awareness

  • Keep your workspace free of clutter to avoid losing small parts or causing accidental shorts.

  • In the unlikely event of a battery heating up, disconnect immediately and ask for help.

  • Have a basic first aid kit nearby and inform an adult if you experience any issues.
